I'm converting some documents from OpenOffice to MS Word, but am running into some issues. The documents have outline numbering, such that:
Heading 1 - Displayed as "Segment 1: Title"
Heading 2 - Displayed as "1.1 Title"
Heading 3 - Displayed as "1.1.1 Title"
I'm trying to get it to display the lowest available heading in the header, so a page with, for example, 1.1 Title in it would display that text in the header.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to be able to find a way to do it. I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple and am rather embarrassed for even asking.
Also, is there a way to make Word auto-update all of the automatic fields when the document is saved or opened? Seems kind of silly to have to update Figure numbers manually.
Boy do I wish Pages worked natively enough with .docx files that I could use that for working with these documents. Shame I have to work with Windows users.
