This is driving me insane. How do I make an equal sign in MS Word? Every time I press = on the keyboard all that happens is the the cursor moves one line up. It's affecting both 2004 and 2007 versions of Word. I wonder if this is a general Word issue, or something related to the Logitech kb I'm using.

you mean 2004 and 2008?

I have no such problem with 2004 on 10.4.11 Tiger?

I'd suspect there's something wrong with the keymap your keyboard is using - it doesn't happen here with an Apple keyboard.

Yes, 2008.

It happens with the Apple kb also, when you press the '=' next to the 'Delete'. The '=' that's on the numbers pad works. The problem I have is that the Logitech kb does not have an '=' key on the numbers keypad (it is replaced with an oversized '+').

OK, so how do I modify the keymap?
