MS Word Self Starting...

Hi All,

Could anybody enlighten me as to why MS Word opens on its own everytime I start my imac?

Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items.

Thanks. Not checked though. Only check there is i-tunes helper.

Just updated today. Hope that didn't cause it.

It doesn't matter if it's checked or not the app will still launch. You have to remove it completely from the login items by highlighting it and hitting the minus button.
The check mark hides the app upon launch but it doesn't prevent it or cause it launch.

Thanks. I am somewhat new to macs. I appreciate the help. I'll respond tomorrow to this thread if this is not the fix.
