MS Word, spotlight, and snow leopard - assistance requested

MS word is freezing requiring a force quit, and I think I have narrowed down the behaviour to specific sequence. Wondering if someone else can try to replicate this.

Create a new document in MS word, in the save dialogue use spotlight to identify the save location. For me, this leads to successful saving of the document, but then word becomes unresponsive requiring a force quit.

Replicated on 3 Macs (MBA, Mac Pro, iMac) - all with 10.6.1 and MS word 12.2.1.

Any one else experience this?

Works fine for me Office 2008 Word v. 12.2.1
OS 10.6.1

Is that with using spotlight in the save dialogue box to select the folder to save to?

Yep, I used spotlight to pick the location, then saved.

Ok just did a bit more testing - if I search for the desktop and save, it works fine. However, if I search & save to the documents folder it crashes.

I just tested that scenario and it still works.
