I need help from my good friends at MR.

Im trying to get my Pop3 old JWU college email to sync up with my iPhone 3Gs but i cant find the incoming and out going host name. They use Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access server. does anybody know how to find what they use for the host names. i've looked all around in the options but they dont give any info on it. it would be greatly appreciated.

The administrator of the server should be able to give you the host name. It often looks like https://webmail.xxxxxx.yyy (where xxxxxx.yyy is the domain name of the company/college). Of course, you will need to know your username/password also !

Hope this helps...

Yea they refuse to giv it to me cause im not a student anymore or some BS. There has to be a way to find out what it is manually tho.

Outlook Web Access is part of Exchange. That means they probably do not support pop3, but might support imap. Why not just add it as an exchange account on your iPhone?

If the school doesn't want him to use the email server why encourage him to connect to it??

Account info has been probably been deleted or disabled anyway. Move on.

When you log on through your web browser, the address is at the top of the window.
that's the information you type in, up to (but not including) the bit where it says "/exchange/...

Looks like they use Exchange 2003, which does support push email on the iPhone...

OWA seems to be here:
https://email.jwu.edu/

To use push notifications, just use email.jwu.edu as your server address, and enter your username and password.

My information doesn't contain an outgoing server.
As long as you selected "Exchange" when you started, you should only need to enter your:

web sever address (as stated above)
domain
Username
Password
