MSN & "Appear Offline"

Hi, I have Mac MSN 7 and I appear offline most of the time, problem is that people still start convos with me and they say I'm appearing online even though i know i have it set to offline.

What's up with that, problem happens when talking to both Mac and Windows users, how do i stop this from happening. Its super annoying.

Use Adium It's miles better than the official client in terms of interface, usability and configurability, and the only functionality that it doesn't have which the official client does is personal messages (you can choose custom display names though).
