I've been having a lot of trouble with MSN on my Macbook lately. I think it could probably be traced back to installing Leopard, but I'm not so sure.
The problem is that I'm unable to talk to certain people at certain times. It's not a one off sort of thing, but I will get a 'connection error' or 'delivery failure' when trying to speak to them, and I can still (sometimes) receive messages from those people. Sometimes I can speak fine, and sometimes I can't, but it's persistent, if you get me.
I've used the official client, Adium, aMSN and I get the same sort of error in each one, sometimes up to ten minutes after posting the message in the first place. Meebo tends to work but I've not used it enough to know. The problem has also persisted through a change of ISP, from Virgin's cable to Be's 24Mb ADSL, so I'm ruling out a poor internet connection.
The fixes I've tried have been unsuccessful, and I can communicate with no problem when running MSN through a Windows VM.
I'm running out of options now, and I'm reluctant to go back to Tiger because I have paid-for software that relies on Leopard. Does anyone have any clue as to what on earth is going wrong here?
Thanks in advance,
Lee
EDIT: It appears the same happened in Tiger, but to a lesser extent. However, I've had absolutely no problems with Meebo. Very confusing.
