MSN draining battery?

Hi all,

I just bought my macbook pro a week ago, I just love it!

However i got a question, Do MSN Messenger 8 Beta drain your battery life?
I can see a significant lower battery time when MSN messenger is on (using webcam will affect as well?)

Was wondering if someone had the same problem or is it my battery that is bad? don't think it's battery thought since cocounut shows that my battery capacity exceed the original :eek:
