No, iChat is for AIM accounts and .mac/mobileme accounts. You can also use iChat for googletalk.

yeah ive used google talk on pc....to speak to my mate who used ichat.

You can use GMAIL on MSN if you'd like.

You could try using a third party msn client such as Adium, aMSN, Yahoo Instant Messenger, etc. (google them)
