MSN Messenger and Firewalls

Yes, its crap but a client wants it working so what can you do?

I've opened up port 1863, which is the port that it uses and all the pc's on the network are happily IM'ing away. Except the Macs. Obviously Microsoft has no support information at all.

Any ideas?

I don't think MSN uses SSL.

I've successfully troubleshot MSN Messenger/firewall issues through ports 443, 563, or 569. Try 443 first.
