MSN Messenger for Mac alternatives

I may love Macs, but the one thing Microsoft does better than any other company is messengers. I loved MSN Live on my PC, but I absolutely hate the Mac client. Are there any nice looking alternatives that will allow me to still use my hotmail account?

+1. Only downside is no A/V. Then again, the MSN's A/V is buggy at best.

Messenger 8 for mac

I'd like to know why the beta version of messenger 8 for mac works on my notebook 14 inch and doesnt on my I mac 27 inch ?

Am I the only one with this problem ?
