sry i forgot to mention i do have adium but i want a messenger I can video/voice chat with... (and not too minor so most of my friends/family members would have it) therefore I thought MSN is the way to go.

Best solution is if you have Parallel's Desktop (or VMWare) then boot it up and use Windows Live Messenger instead - least you get the proper webcam and audio support.
There is 3rd party Mac clients (Mercury Messenger for one) that attempt A/V. The MacBU will eventually get round to doing it (though they've been using the same excuse for years....they need to wait on the WLM team building their new A/V stack..).
