Yep, thats the latest version (6.0.3).

Microsoft doesn't update often their messenger for mac client.
I suggest you to try adium.

Adium doesnt has the bouncing dock thing when you receive new message, or a popup window when someone logs in....

plus, the 'Growl' has really sucky noise....

thats y i sitll stick with the official MSN Messenger...

You can change the sounds it plays, and also configure it to bounce on the dock when you receive messages. :)

I've found aMSN to be the closest thing. It supports custom emotes (which is good, cuz all my friends use those), has growl-like pop ups (but not growl), and original MSN sounds. Adium is good for an all-in-one client for different protocols, but I'm sticking with aMSN for now...

thx guys

i m gonna try mercury at first, seems more playful but no sounds? lol i havent played with it yet.
and i ve also downloaded adium, but the sounds really sucked! lol
thx guys for the advices!! :)

oh yes I just found out u cud change the sounds... which is good because the default ones sucked....

now if only Adium had those unintrusive popups for ppl loggings in rather than the message box which you HAVE to click okay to....

It doesn't on its own, but combined with Growl it will have. You don't have to click okay on them, they'll just fade on their own account and you can define how long you want them to show.
