msn messenger keeps crashing wtfff

my msn messenger on my penryn mbp keeps crashing. everytime i start it up and click one of my contacts to message it crashes wtffff. whats the correct version im suppose to download? can i use i chat to log into my msn???

msn messenger in mac is crap, i suggest you download adium, it's the best solution to most of your instant messaging needs, at least untill a new version of messenger is released

Yes, Adium is great!

You can also customize it to do a lot more than what MSN allows. Check out these must have plugins for Adium.

While I agree Adi is a better IM, I had a similar MSN problem. I deleted the plist preference file found in /system/preferences and it started fine.

If that does not work then use appzap to remove MSN and reinstall.
