Somewhere
this just started tonight, I was just talking to someone on MSN and it just randomly crashed. I restarted it, and it was working fine, then it crashed again. I tried repairing permissions, but it didn;t find anything to repair, is there any way to keep this from happening, or is it just some randome thing I shouldn't worry about.

Well you could try removing the preference file. There's a folder in your Preferences folder called Microsoft. Within this should be a file named com.microsoft.Messenger.plist. Drag it to the Desktop and reopen MSN. All yuor settings will have to be reconfigured but if it doesn't help you can put the file back when MSN is closed and you should then be back to where you started. :)

If you don't use all the fancy features of MSN Messenger, Adium has halfway decent support for that protocol (as well as a bajillion others at the same time. :D) I don't use that protocol, so I don't know how much work they've done on it, but from what I gather it's fairly good.

Yes its most likely that, a few people have been having this problem.

If you uninstall i think it automaticaly replaces it with the old safari

...i think so... but don't quote me on that!

ive been having this trouble with msn as well, and ive installed safari 3.
Specifically it borks when i close a chat window, or try to highlight text with the cursor, id like to know if safari is the problem and ill kick it to the curb.

exactly the same problem. i quit using msn since three days. adium is pretty good, except seeing other people's personal messages.

and i am sure safari 3 causes this problem.

Yep, the same has been happening to me since I installed Safari 3 and exactly the same thing happened to a friend as well.
