MSN Messenger Won't Work?

I got the new Office 2011 so the new MSN Messenger 8 was included. I've tried everything but nothing works. I can't connect. It'll just say "Sign in failed because the password is incorrect or the sign-in name does not exist. If you have forgotten... blah" I know the password and everything is correct since I can sign in on my windows computer. I've tried using another account and it doesn't work either. I would use Adium but I really dislike the style along with many 3rd party clients. I had MSN 6 installed and that worked fine. Does anyone know why??

I also have the same problem, however it seems to be contained to only my account. I am able to log onto someone elses account on my Mac, and I can log onto my account on a different PC in my house.

There seems to be no logical reason why I cannot log on, I have tried clearing cookies, unplugging modem, reinstalling messenger etc, to no avail...
