iPod touch MSN on iPod Touch

I have two questions. How can you access your MSN e-mails on the mail application on the iPod touch? And can you go on msn messenger on you iPod?
 
MSN on iPod Touch

What i have found that works great, and it's all via the safari website is www.ebuddy.com . It automatically detects that your a mobile and gives you the options to use msn messenger, as well as many others. As to getting windows live mail on your iPod Touch. I just have to use the built in safari web browser. Though, seriously, get a .mac account, they rock! Or for a more low budget solution, get a gmail account, it works great with the iPod Touch Mail app.
 
Try the mobile web version of MSN.

Simply enter

mobile.msn.com

into safari. You might need the http etc etc,can't remember
but it works quite nicely. If u hack the touch u can try Apollo which is ok too but the mobile version of MSN is slicker
 
I don't think it will work with the mail app because the mail app uses pop3 email accounts and to use that with your hotmail you have to pay a premium or something.

yep you have to sign up for something like 20$ a year to get access to MSN email from anything other than the website or outlook.

well to your first question, hotmail wont let you do it...tried failed but you can bypass it

just go to http://v3.izymail.com/Default.aspx

make an account...you can subscribe or free....what ever you want,

after that, just follow these instruction

http://v3.izymail.com/iPhoneSettings.aspx

NOTE: when i tested it, i tested with the 1.1.3 mail upgrade :D

I've been using meebo on my ipod touch since I got it (January) and all of a sudden it wont let me on and just shows up with a plain blue screen and nowhere to write your email address/password. Any ideas why? =]] x
 
Seriously people, Hotmail is just terrible for email.

Anyone in their right mind would get a real email address, such as Gmail (Google Mail in the UK).
 
MSN/Hotmail announced that they were trying to introduce free POP to all Hotmail and MSN email accounts later this year, so it should be fine to work then. But for now you cant get it through the mail app.
 
if you have community sources installed in installer then you most likely have an app for msn messenger already ;)

have a look in all packages category for apollo IM, this has support for multiple messenger accounts. msn, yahoo, aol (off the top of my head)

as for emails only suggestion would be to access hotmail via web browser
 
I use BeeJive to talk on MSN and AIM.

My e-mail address is a GMail one though. Hotmail won't let you use it with the mail app. GMail is much better.
