hi,
i just recently got a macbook os x with iworks on it. (thats the only thing i bought extra with it). and im trying to download msn messenger onto my mac. i know to go to www.msn.com and click the download link etc. and several times i have downloaded all the different types of messenger for mac os x. i then downloaded stuffit expander as i was told that would help. it didnt. it keeps saying: msn failed. you may not be linked to the internet or msn service is down (not in those exact words but close.
can anyone with a macbook os x help me with this with a step- by- step plan to download and use it on here. i will be very appreciative :)

One more vote for adium here too!
It replaces all your IMs, including Facebook chat too!

and you downloaded MSN 7 for mac? http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/messenger/default.mspx

For connection issues, I'm not sure what could cause it. Are you installing it properly?

to Install

Download MSN 7 for OS X

Double click the .dmg file once the download completes.

The file will mount to finder. Click 'Microsoft Messenger.app' and drag it to your "Applications" folder.

It should install itself, then you simply find it in the applications folder, double click it to launch the application.

-Launching from the .dmg may cause some programs not to function properly

I use aMSN since I have a Mac (I used aMSN on Linux and Windows too) and I love it!
