Hey,

I have been using MSN for quite a while now and a problem has only shown up recently. Right now if I type a sentence and highlight it and delete it, the next sentence I right can only be the length of the one I highlighted... if I continue to type it will just keep changing the last character in the sentence.

Any thoughts? I can live with it, but its rather annoying.

Also, I would rather not change to Mercury or Adium... I have had them both and like the normal MSN better.

Not sure, but do you have overwrite or something on, thus limiting the length of the new text to how long the old was?

have you tried reinstalling it?
uninstall everything (using appzapper for ex.) and reinstall...maybe that helps?

use Adium instead of msn for mac as its useless.

Once u get use to Adium there is no going back ;)

Overwrite is when you can't make the overall length of a block of text larger except for adding onto the end.

Workaround that seems to work as a fix

No idea what the "feature" is, but I had the problem myself just then. I decided to try a workaround, which was typing in another program (just textedit) and pasting in. The workaround fixed it!
