There is an article on Slashdot about how MSN Virtual Earth is out of date as it doesn't show the Apple Campus. However, I have also noticed that the twin towers are still there:

Poor effort from Microsoft. (Did we expect anything more?)
 
You do realize that they arn't the ones who actually take the pictures? Its not easy to take pictures of the entire USA, let alone the Earth. Google Maps doesn't have up-to-date pictures, either. It just depends upon when the plane/sat took them. They are in a bigger rush to do the entire world than to make sure the current pictures are 100% up to date.
 
yes, of course i realize that Microsoft didn't take the pictures, but some things are just obviously silly, like the twin towers. Plus, the Apple Campus has been there since about 1991, so that photo is really old. Google maps has the apple campus, so there are more recent photos available.
