Msn virus advice

Hi,

I'm running on a 24" imac and was just using Adium (unfortunately most of my friends use Msn ). I came across one of my regular contacts repeatedly asking me 'is this you? :O' and a link to an uglyhuman domain.

I was just wondering, even if I didn't click on the link, is it possible for me to pass this on to Windows users I chat to or connect to in some way?

Thanks. And I did try clamxav but my mac has never mounted it. .

The virus won't be read by your iMac, so the only way to send it on (in my knowledge) is to send it to other Windows users. You should be fine.

Just tell them that because of the insecurities of their system, they probably should fork out the money to get an antivirus program

The only way to pass it on is to copy that link into someone else's msn convo and send it too someone. So your windows friends are safe. And those windows users would have to click the link.

You have a Mac. You don't have a virus. There's nothing to clear.

If someone else is using MSN Messenger as you, change your password.
