Hey all,

I've searched my Mac OS X 10.3 Server machine and a 10.3.3 Panther client machine, and I cannot find the "mt" command on either machine.

The only thing that's available is "rmt". I don't quite understand how to use it, since it's designed for remote tape manipulations.

If mt is not available, does anyone know of any command line utilities to manipulate / rewind tapes?

Thanks!

I believe rmt can be used locally as well. The commands may be similar to mt, but I'm not sure as I have not used either.

Check the man pages to see if they are consistent.

Alrighty, I'll give it a shot. The man page is completely different, but I'll try it out on a local drive anyway. Thanks for your help!
