I recently got a new battery on my Series 7 Apple Watch, so it's at 100%, but then found a great deal on a 10 two months later & picked that up. I'm surprised that the 10 seems to have way better battery life than the 7. Both are the titanium models & I used the process that copies all of your data from the 7 to the 10, so as far as I can tell, they should have exactly the same apps, data, etc, but I'm ending the day with about 40% battery life whereas with the 7 I was always under 20%.

I am surprised at the difference. Curious to hear if others saw the same thing.

Apple Watches have been crap always with battery live (what I see/what I read) nevertheless I am after a cheap 7 (for the heart functions, because I need them for a heart problem which was discovered/diagnosed… what is the difference in battery usage? 1-2-3 days? Would be still crap for a watch but anyway - battery technology is far behind other developments… what we can do!?

It’s not just a new battery but the newer more efficient chipset in the later model that is the contributing factor leading to such a change in usage life.

I also had a funny situation where now i have a 10 and a 7. I use the 7 to sleep and the 10 for daily use. The 7 has the oxygen reader but the ekg just wont work unfortunately.

Yah, I've just never noticed it in any of my other watch upgrades (granted most of those have been year over year (5 to 6, etc). But maybe going 3 years in between gives a more noticeable change.
