Hello all. I have a very odd configuration I'm comtemplating running and I was going to see if anyone had similar.

I currently have an HP 20" display connected to my PC via DVI. My PC also runs to my TV in the bedroom for movies, etc via HDMI.

I'm eying an iMac and I see I can use the 2 TB ports on the 27" to run the external 20" display as a secondary then also run HDMI to the TV.

My question is, is it feasible to run the same setup on the 21.5" with the use of an HDMI splitter? Use the TB to HDMI monoprice cord to an HDMI splitter from Monoprice. Then run HDMI to the TV and HDMI to DVI to the monitor.

The problem would obviously be matching the resolutions of the displays. I would want to set the resolution of the output to the resolution of the monitor, and just hope the TV looks halfway decent?

I suppose I could test this with my PC now and set the HDMI output to the same 1600x900 native resolution of the HP monitor. That just hit me as I sit here typing.

Thoughts?
