hey I want to be able to play music in two rooms at the same time without spending all my money. I have an ipod touch, and a macbook pro. I don't know which will be easier to do this from, but is there a wireless solution? is this always super pricey, and is there a simple way to do it?

You don't mention what you consider "super pricey" or "all my money", so I'll just chip in and tell you what I use to play music in several rooms at the same time from my iMac.

In every room I want to stream music to I have an Airport Express connected to a pair of speakers. That's it. Works like a charm. Wireless & synchronized playing with virtually no setup required.

With this solution I can stream music from iTunes to one or multiple rooms and control everything from my iPhone, or i can stream music from my iPhone to a room directly.

Exactly how pricey a similar setup would be for you depends on if you already have suitable speakers in the rooms or not...
