My wife called me and asked if I could send her a picture in message. I tried to do this while she was on the phone, mistakenly thinking that iPhone can multi-task. Boy was I wrong. Apple still has not matched what Samsung can do in this category.:(

Stick her on speaker phone, hit the home button, then use the phone as normal to send her the picture. I do this all the time when someone I'm on the phone to needs a number.

User Fail.

You 100% can send a picture via message while in a phone call. I just tried it on AT&T iPhone 5s to verify.

If it's CDMA, then you can't. It it's a GSM phone, you can (T-mobile, AT&T)... And I'm pretty sure it's the carrier to complain to, not Apple. I could be wrong though...

Don't blame apple for something maybe related to you operator.
I can do that whenever I want ....

On a side note..did you know you can swipe and remove multiple apps in the multitasking screen with more fingers?? :) try it!

Thats quite side note given no one have even mentioned multitasking. On a side note..if you press on the accelerator of your car the engine will accelerate to a higher RPM.

As the other poster mentioned, who is your carrier? The iPhone can do what you described depending on the capability of your carrier. Some carriers cannot do voice and data at the same time. Oh, and let me say carrier one more time: Carrier.
