I was wondering, does the early 2009 macbook have th the same track pad as the newer ones? Like the gestures and multi touch capabilities?

Agreed. I can do things in photoshop that I can't even begin to do on my friend's MBP, with a glass trackpad.

Like what?
I find trackpad sometimes less responsive (has to do with Leopard), but generally it is very pleasant to use, even with Photoshop

I've thought of this debate. My only issue is clicking and dragging. I've enabled it on my iBook while my MacBook is en route... I just can't get used to it.

I suppose I'll have to though, unless I want to put a piece of paper over the lower portion of that glass trackpad. No touch sensitivity = instant retro button! :D

You do know that there is a feature in the trackpad driver that ignores input from the bottom 0.5" of the trackpad, right? This is for the reason of clicking and dragging. YMMV

Really? That'll be the first thing I look at when I get my MacBook then. Very cool! That was my only concern - it sounds like this laptop was made for me then. :D
