Multi touch trackpad

Felt like an idiot in the Covent Garden Apple store the other day. How on earth do you click something using the multi touch trackpad?! Kept on tapping on it but it didn't do anything so I might a swift exit

Just click the trackpad - it's basically one big button. There is also a toggle for 'tap to click' in preferences, which was probably set to off on the floor models.

you can alter the settings in system preferences>trackpad to make it work on tap to click.
