multibay enclosre with true JOBD mode & firewire

I have been looking around for a multibay enclosure that supports both firewire & true JOBD modes, & so far what I have come across is

either the enclosure has firewire 800, but no true JOBD mode, it has a spanned mode, I want the drives to be individual.

or the enclosure has a true JOBD mode, but only eSATA & USB, no firewire.

is there a reason why I have not or there does not seem to exist a multibay enclosuer that has both a true JOBD mode, with firewire 800.

Not sure if there is or not, but it might be your search terms - it's not JOBD, it's JBOD (Just Bunch Of Disks)
