iOS Multiline text input

I've been banging on this for a few days now, but I can't seem to reproduce the nice-multiline auto-sizing input as used in SMS. Does anybody have any tutorials or suggestions for how to approach this. I would love a response like "just set UITextField.numLines to 0", but sadly I dont think I'll get that..
