upgraded to ios 10 yesterday and i've found the animations to big a mixed bag. while the fast folder openings are nice, why are there so many different animations for the notification center?
1. starting from home screen pull down, you get this slide cover effect similar to ios 9
2. starting from any open app (phone, messages), if you pull down, you get a more nuanced animation where it shows the search bar and then gradually fans down (like on andorid). if you release your finger and let the entire notification center open, when it closes it reverts to the slide cover effect from ios 9. if you keep your finger on the screen and avoid letting notification open all the way, the more subtle animation continues
personally i find the notification center animation when already in an app more polished, weird that they couldn't keep it for everything. i believe they had made that change in beta 4 but reversed it. seems awfully sloppy for apple to keep both in there
