Hey Mac Forum Users!

My question is simple. I was wondering if I can plug into one computer my iPad, iTouch, iPhone (new verizon one) all from one computers set up with iTunes. I have seen in the past if you do this it erases the old content on the device? If not do I have to get a seperate PC for each? Any help would be ideal since my iPhone is coming in today! Thanks!

You can sync multiple devices with one computer. You can't, however, sync a device with more than one computer, that will cause it to be erased.

So I just plug and play normally but don't sync them because that causes them to be erased?

You can sync them. If they have been synced with another computer before, then they will be erased as Apple only lets you sync their iDevices with one computer at a time. After they have been erased, you can sync them with the data in the computer

Doesn't syncing it mean that all the programs and applications get backed up and updated? So I will only be allowed to sync one device per computer?

No...you can only sync each device to one computer.

For instance. I have an iMac, macbook pro, windows pc.

If I sync my iPad, iPhone, and iPod to my iMac, i cannot also sync them to my macbook pro. If I do, then all data will be erased from the iPad, iPhone, and iPod, it will not be backed up to my macbook pro. This is to help avoid copyright infringement.

Make sense?
