Multiple bluetooth devices connected - but they have the Same Name

It seems as if there are two bluetooth devices connected to my Mac. I removed them both, renamed my keyboard. Why are they showing up twice? Are they the same device or could they be 2 devices with the same name connected to my Mac? Is this a security concern?
