Multiple Calendar Window

Hi - anyone know how to display multiple calendar windows on a Mac? I use a combination of iCloud and gmail and I have had multiple windows in the past - something to do with delegates, but I can't make it work again.

Or if you reckon there's better software out there, I'm happy to experiment, but I have been very happy with the native Mac/iOS one.

I overlay all of my calendars using different colors for each. I use Gmail and iCloud. Not sure if this helps, but the colors definitely distinguish the source calendar.
