multiple contacts and merged contacts! Help!!

I use mobile me to sync contacts, and toa few days ago found that some of my contacts have duplicated, triplicated, and in some instances merged together (In some instances it's names, in others someones phone number shows up in someone elses contact, wrong email addrsss, etc...)

I know at some point I merged my facebook app contacts as well.

anyone else have this problem and have a fix? I went in and deleted some of the duplicates, but they keep repopulating again.

Do I have to do it through Mobile me first?

yes, i would recommend to login into your mobileme account first, delete the duplicates from there

at the same time, remove the sync of mobileme from your iphone as well, once everything on mobileme is correct, add the sync again on the iphone, this should do the trick
