multiple desktop problmes

Hi,

Can someone help me with multiple desktops. When I select Desktop 2 or 3 etc. It shows for 5 second and then it switches back to Desktop 1. I am using rMBP with external LG 34" ultrawide monitor.
The problem only occurs on external monitor
OS HighSierra
