Is it possible to connect two displays to a 27" iMac using mini display port to dvi adapters connected to the thunderbolt ports?

Thanks but that doesn't answer my question, I am not asking about connecting thunderbolt displays to an iMac's thunderbolt port. I am asking if I can connect to regular monitors using DVI-display port adapters to the thunderbolt ports on an iMac and if they will work.
