Hi yall... I'm looking for ways to separate all my graphic apps from the regular OSX apps on the dock. I know there are some third party apps out there that will allow you to add more than one dock. I'd like to hear your recommendations on separating different groups of apps on your dock. What apps or methods do you recommend? Thanks!

Drag Thing seems pretty popular if you want multiple docks. Here's a sort of demo video with its capabilities from Mac Instruct. It's shareware

But if you want to keep to only one dock you have the option of using Overflow which is a little app that is similar to Stacks in Leopard. It is also shareware.

If you don't want to pay for apps, you can always use Blank Dock Separators which are blank icons that you can use to organize your dock. Or, if blank spaces creep you out, Dock Dividers, or Horizontal/Vertical Dock Dividers.

Hope this is helpful, I personally use Overflow and the Blank Dock Separators to keep my dock minimal.
