Hi, I recently got an ssd for my mid 2010 mac book pro. I got the drive installed in the dvd drive bay with a sled. I want to have Music, Movies, Downloads, Documents, Pictures on my HDD. I cloned my drive minus those folders with carbon copy cloner, I then put those folders on my hdd. I have created the symbolic links for those folders. But I can't replace the folders that osx has created on my home drive with the symbolic links. How would I do this?

Delete the folders on your filesystem first, then replace them with symbolic links.

I tried that it didn't work when i was logd in to my normal acount. I had to sign in as "root" for it to work.
