If I access the "open with" menu by cmd+clicking on a file, I get multiple identical entries in that menu. Let me give you an example. On a zip file, I have the following entries from top to bottom:

The Unarchiver (Default)
BomArchiveHelper
Stuffit Expander
Stuffit Expander
Stuffit Expander
The Unarchiver
The Unarchiver
The Unarchiver

Anyone know of a way I can clean up these menus? Depending on what kind of file it is, the menu may repeat an app so many times that the menu goes from the bottom to the top of my screen.

Open Terminal and type in:

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
