Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me out as ATT's website has me completely confused.

As of right now, 2 people in my family have iphones and 3 others are on Sprint. I'm looking to move the 3 from Sprint to ATT in a month when their contract ends. I am trying to figure out a ballpark of what it will cost per month. I am trying to price the cost of 4 iphones + 1 normal phone. What I have come up with is:

450 Minutes for 5 Lines: 39.99 * 5 = 199.95
Unlimited Text for Plan: 20.00
Data for 2 iPhones already on ATT with unlimited data: 30*2 = 60
Data for 2 new iPhones on lowest Data Plan: 15*2 =30

Total: 310

Is this correct or am I missing something? Thanks.

You should just go to AT&T's site and add it up. You can put it all in a "shopping cart" and just not check out.

Also, you only have 1 text messaging plan? Wouldn't you need that on all as well?

Also, it looks like you are adding it up as though you had 4-5 individual plans when it probably makes more economic sense to do some family type plan if you have that many phones in one family.

You only have to pay the minutes base plan once on a family plan, then it's +$10 per additional line. So you're looking at $70 for 700 minutes for the first line, then $10x4 for the other four. That's $110 for your minutes on a family plan.

Unlimited family texting is $30. The number you quoted is for a single line.

iPhone data plans are per line. So that part you had right. $30x2 for the old unlimited plans, and $15x2 for the 200MB plans.

Your total is going to be $230 + taxes/fees for your configuration.

What confuses me is that for the family plans it says 1st two lines pay the rate and then its +10 for line 3, line 4, and line 5.

With the individual 5 plans it would be 450 minutes * 5 = 2250 minutes for $200 and the family plan would be 2100 minutes for =109.99*2+9.99*3=$249 which doesn't make any sense to me since the family should be cheaper, right?

You are messing it up.
For a family plan of five on the 2100 rate it would be
109.99+ 9.99*3
That 109.99 is the cost of line 1 and line 2 combined. In the family plan they give you the monthly cost of the first 2 lines. Any more it will be 9.99 per line.

It really $100 for line 1 and $9.99 for each line after that.

Give you an idea my parents phone bill from AT&T is around $230 per month for 5 lines
It is 750 min.
2 lines unlmited dated ($30*2)
Unlimited family family Texting ($30)
and then insurance one 2-3 of the lines which is around $5 per line. I am not really sure.

With taxes and fees it works out to be $230 per month.
