There may be a simple solution to my dilemma and I may be making things more complicated than need be. However, here is the situation.
I have an iPhone 4 that syncs with my Macbook Pro. I manage all of my photos through iPhoto. It's nice to order prints, sync to MobileMe, and Facebook all through iPhoto.
My wife has an iPhone 4 that syncs with her Windows XP machine. She also manages her own photos (using Picasa?) and syncing through iTunes.
We also have a digital camera that we take photos with. I import the photos from the digital camera into iPhoto but I do not delete them. I then plug the camera in to her computer and copy the photos. At that point I delete them. This ensures we both have all the photos from the camera on both of our computers.
However, I cannot seem to have her iPhone recognized on my Macbook in iPhoto. It pops up in iTunes just fine and then I close out. All I need to be able to do is import the photos from her phone into my computer. Then she can import into her PC and what not.
We do not want to sync her phone with my iTunes library as I often have my laptop with me. She wants to keep her syncing connection with her Windows based iTunes.
We have Home Sharing turned on and that keeps our movies, music, books, and apps all in sync. I wish there was an easy way to do the same with photos.
What do other people do in this situation? Any ideas would be appreciated! Maybe I am missing something...
