Is it possible to implement two separate iTunes libraries on the same machine?

Here's my dilemma:
I have a small-ish collection of high-res audio files that I listen to through my laptop/DAC, but I also want to maintain my much larger library of 320kbps MP3 files for my on-the-go listening. I really don't want to use two separate pieces of software for music management, and I strongly prefer iTunes for its simplicity and ease of use. I don't want to mix the files in one library because then I will have duplicate entries/albums, and I likely don't have enough storage space on my iPhone 6.

So, is it possible to toggle between two separate iTunes libraries? If not, do you have any practical suggestions for how to improve my workflow, so to speak? I sync the 320kbps library to my iPhone 6 (~40GB), while the high-res files are simply stored in a separate folder on the hard drive.

Finally, how do you enable 24/96 playback in iTunes? I can't seem to find the option in preferences.

Thank you!
