I have different Macs that I use at home, and I often run into a common problem with HOME directories all over that have different things -- now, under Linux and a LAN I might use a NFS HOME directory, or use a GFS (global file system) -- but that could be problematic with larger files. When you travel, you don't have your LAN, so unless you have a GFS to sync, you're out of luck.

There's a company (local to me, actually) called Nasuni that has a GFS that stores data in Cloud storage objects, but I'm not really sure that's the solution I need (and their stuff may be quite pricy).

I figure I'd ask the hive mind to see how you all may be solving this predicament. The Server.app used to have a lot of nice features, but it's been stripped down to something that I consider mostly useless. I have not heard good things about iCloud.

Thanks!
