Using a Mac Mini with 10.5.8
I have a Microsoft wireless desktop setup the mouse does not function properly its not as accurate as I would like and sometimes will not read very small movements. So I connected an old USB Microsoft optical mouse I had laying around and it reads perfectly.
However when my Mac goes to sleep sometimes, not always when I wake it via clicking a button on the mouse or keys on keyboard it will not "light up" and it won't allow me to move it at all. Sometimes I can unplug and replug to get it to work. Sometimes I have to put batteries back in the wireless one and restart. Today even that didn't want to work at first.
So my question is how can I get the Mac OS to either let me pick which mouse I want to use, always keep the USB device powered, Or to just disable the wireless one all together like it doesn't exist and I only have a wireless keyboard connected.
Thanks for any help, this is very annoying!
