I have searched the forums, but can find no mention of this anywhere so here goes...
I noticed that my machine has become very slow recently (even after a HD upgrade). I suddenly realised today that I have 3 user libraries, all created at different times (17 July 2009, 19 June 2009 and 30 June 2009) and all different sizes (10.42 GB, 5.56 GB and 4.53 GB), and all being modified at different times. Could this be the problem, and if so what can I do to sort it out?
The first two libraries both have the building icon on them, whilst the last does not and is in the 'system' folder with the 'X' on it. The first library is under Macintosh HD->Library, the second Macintosh HD->Users->My Username->Library.
I think something strange is going on, because the second, smaller library has all my application support etc in there but is a lot smaller in size.
Totally out of my depth here, any help would really be appreciated.
