I have just installed PB4 today, everything was fine and my iMac was working perfectly normal. However, I just found out that all the other user accounts on my iMac were gone and I can only see my account at the login screen and the Users & Groups in Setting. I can still see their folders in the Users folder but I don't have access to them. Do you guys have any idea to get them back? Thanks so much!

you probably checked this already ? . . . Have you checked the system preferences "Users and Groups" to make sure the selected login window is "List of Users" ?

Yes, I have checked it. All of the other users are disappeared, only my account is left on the "List of Users"

And its selected as "List of Users" not as "Name and Password" ?

If so, it might be worth a shot to toggle it back to "Name and Password" then close preferences and then go back and change it back to "List of Users"?

Unfortunately, I have tried this too. I have even tried to log in with "Name and Password" and tried to type the name and password of other accounts to try to log in. However, i got no luck. On the left handside of the "Users & Groups" setting page, I can only see my account and "Guest User". It seems like the system deleted other accounts....

You could also try browsing the hard drive and check to see if the other user’s directory folders are still present on the hard drive.

That’ll at least tell you if they are actually “gone” or just removed from the list.

If the folders are still there, then perhaps simply adding them back with the exact same username and password will restore access.

Naturally, backup your hard drive first before adding them back, just in case something goes wrong in the process.

If you have a backup prior to the recent update, you might also be able to pull those users back in using the migration tool and selecting those users.

Just found out that I forgot to unplug my time machine, so the backup has been updated. The the other accounts are not shown when I use Migration Assistant. Do you guys have any idea on how to retores the lost accounts? Thanks!
