Hi All,

I'm mainly a windows user due to work and mess around with osx at home.

I find that there are advantages and disadvantages for both.

The issue that I find with osx is with multiple applications open/windows.

For instance, in windows, if I have multiple FIreFox windows open, I can see them on the task bar and can easily identity which one I need, same as if I have multiple Word docs open.

On OSX, how can you see in the dock if there are multiple sessions of the same application open, without right clicking on the icon in the dock?

Sadly, I find myself more streamlined on windows and really want to change that.

Many thanks and I hope that makes sense.

Uhhh...

Either press the normal expose key to see all your windows at once. Or left click and hold on an app in the dock to see an expose view of just the windows from that app.

Sounds like you need more time with OS X.

Instead of having multiple windows of Firefox, try using tabs instead. Much easier to switch between windows.

From the "Window" menu bar item (top of the screen not the bottom) will list all application windows that are open for the front most app. Works for all apps. Right clicking on the apps dock icon does the same thing.
