A couple minor annoyances that in the grand scheme of things don't really matter but to annoy me. These are minor issues that have bothered me for years and I wonder if there is anything that would fix them.

The first issue is when one opens an application from the Dock on a screen that application should open to the display from where it was started. If I start Chrome from the Dock on my left screen the window should open to that screen. Instead it opens to the last display it was on. This has been happening since the Dock was available on all displays.

The other thing that annoys me while I have a soapbox from which to moan tonight is that when I restart the computer the desktop image on (usually) one of my screens is not retained, it defaults to that sand dune picture. It usually seems to be the display on the far right regardless of what port the display is connected to on the Mac.

I have a set of pictures in a folder I keep within the Pictures Folder called DT Images and any images I want to use for desktop scenes are dropped there. I have recently used about a dozen images and set the screens to rotate among them and have no problem until I shut down or restart the computer and usually upon boot one or two of the 3 screens go back to the default sand dune image. This occurs on my current Mac Mini 2018 as well as the iMac 5K it replaced.

Are there any fixes for these little things?
