I recently bought a 4x screen VESA mount (2 by 2) and although I only have three displays yet, it's pretty great.
Right now I'm using one mDP output from the mac, the internal screen and two screens via a displaylink thing.
The performance difference when using a screen powered by the displaylink is horrible, however. I can't use it for video or any sort of graphical effects in osX.

I'm also considering getting a new MBP, so I'd like to know if this would become better with a dedicated GPU. Also, would I be able to power 4 screens natively from a MBP in any configuration? They're just 1080p, but the amount of ports would be a problem I assume.
